Cribs, cribs, cribs

I’ve used this crib for two of my children and it’s still in great shape! Trust me, my kids are wild and so it had it’s fair share of beatings. I honestly don’t believe you have to spend a lot on cribs (unless you want to)… This crib was very affordable and I am very happy with this purchase.

Organic Cotton Dual-Sided Crib Mattress | Waterproof Washable

It’s important for me to purchase most of my baby products organic. Babies spend most of their day sleeping and even the quality of the mattress can have an effect on their health. I love that this mattress is waterproof as your babies will leak through their diapers!

Waterproof Fitted Crib Mattress Pad and Toddler Crib Mattress Protective Baby Crib

It’s good to have an extra layer of waterproof mattress pad. Your baby will leak through the diaper, spit up, vomit, have explosive diarrhea, spill milk… you name it. I would recommend buying two of these so when one is in the washer, you have another one ready at hand.

Organic Crib Sheet for Standard Crib

An organic crib sheet to place on top of the mattress pad. Make sure to buy several of these and wash with natural hypoallergenic wash soap for clean and comfortable sleep.

Snuggle Me Organic

My baby was a terrible sleeper. Looking back, I now know it was because it was colic. This Snuggle Me Organic helped me a lot during the newborn stages where I had to constantly wake up in the middle of the night every 20 mins to an hour. I just placed this next to me on my bed and I felt at ease that I wouldn’t roll over her. I also think the enclosed space helped her to feel secure and comfortable.

ADOVEL Baby Bassinet Bedside Crib, Pack and Play with Mattress

To be honest, when you’re breastfeeding or  bottle feeding around the clock, you have no energy to pick the baby up from her/his crib every 2-3 hours (Newborns feed every 2-3 hours). It’s actually been more dangerous, in my experience. This portable bedside bassinet is the most practical product to have. Mothers are typically afraid to lay their babies next to them, because they’re afraid that they or their husband might roll over the baby- which is a very real concern. This bassinet is the perfect solution for newborn moms- you can bring it to the living room, kitchen, bedroom and also great for traveling. It’s easily foldable and adjustable! It’s a must-have!

Smart WiFi Baby Monitor

The unique aspect to this baby monitor is that it comes with it’s own LCD screen and it can be viewed from your phone. This way, you can always see your baby without having to give up your phone and you can always check up and say hello from your phone while you’re at work!

Hatch Baby Rest Sound Machine

I discovered the power of white noise when it miraculously helped my colicky baby to sleep faster. Apparently, it mimics the sounds in the womb, which helps the baby feel like they’re in a familiar place. I initially started the colic noise on my iPad, but it would shut off during the night or play advertisements which would ruin everything. This machine was the perfect solution. You can control the device from your phone and now, I can’t sleep without it!

Love To Dream Swaddle UP

Before I gave birth to my firstborn, I was confused when   I saw mothers swaddling their babies. It looked so uncomfortable and restrictive. After I gave birth, it was clear to me why this was so needed. First of all, their home for the past 9 months was the womb where it was tight and cozy- so this is something they’re used to. Secondly, babies have an uncontrollable startle reflex that frequently wakes them up from their sleep. Swaddling helps contain the startle and gives the baby a sense that they’re in the womb. I prefer swaddles with a zipper- it’s easier to access their diapers during the night, when they need to be changed multiple times. Instead of unswaddling them every time, you just zip down, take their legs out, and change their diapers.
